Your Guide: My name is Ron Oules and I own and operate Reel-Lentless Guide Service from Brewster WA. My main focus is guiding for Salmon and Steelhead, but also guide for Trout at different times. I live in the city of Brewster, and that allows fast and easy access to the best fishing areas in the region. I have been a sport fisherman for as long as I can remember from being a kid at the Klickitat Salmon Hatchery to fishing for native Brook Trout when Mt St. Helens erupted. In 2003 I started fishing for Summer Chinook in the upper Columbia River five minutes from home. Without a doubt these huge Kings won me over, and I have worked hard every year to learn and become a better salmon fisherman. It only took a few people reeling in the awesome Chinook/King Salmon to get me convinced I wanted to start guiding. Taking kids fishing by far has been the most enjoyable for me. I enjoy catching fish with clients or by myself. I take fishing very seriously, and will work hard to give you a great trip. I am First Aid and CPR certified, and have been operating boats for 25 years. |

The Boat “My Michelle”: Named after my wonderful wife who puts up with me and what I do. The boat is a 20’ Custom Weld Cobra with a ¾ vinyl top to block the sun. The boat has a 7’ bottom and a 8’6” total width making it super stable in rough water or when just walking around. It has 30” of inside sidewall height from deck to top of sides not counting extended rails providing safety to anglers both older and young. If you want we can partially open the top to allow more sun in or leave it closed for more shade. Honda four stroke motors for both travelling and trolling are used due to their quiet operation and low emissions. Our electronics are top of the line color Lowrance for detail and accuracy. A VHS radio, life jackets, and first aid kit are also on the boat. |

Your Equipment: I use a variety of equipment and all of it is top quality and suited to the type of fishing you will be doing. Everything we have on the boat is top quality for durability and safety. We depend on our gear to not let you down, and we are confident in what we use. What works well for trolling may not be the best for anchoring up with bait. Fishing rod brands are Lamiglass, Fenwick, Shakespeare, Cabelas, and others. Reels are from Shimano, Diawa, Okuma, and others. The bait and lures are the best we can find with sticky sharp hooks always used. |
