Reel-Lentless Guide Service provides guided fishing trips for Salmon and Steelhead in the upper Columbia River near Brewster Washington. We are located in the city of Brewster Washington. This area of the Columbia River near Brewster is an amazing and very productive fishing area. The fishing pressure and boat numbers are noticeably less then the lower Columbia and we think the fishing is even better. We at Reel-Lentless Guide Service want you to enjoy your fishing trip, and many times encourage some participation from you. There are few experiences as exciting as setting the hook at the bite into a feisty Salmon or Steelhead. It is hard to explain the feeling when you lift as hard as you can on the pole and the fish pulls it right back down to the water. Come fish with us out of a very comfortable 20’ Custom Weld with a canvas top for shade and plenty of open deck for sun.
Salmon,
Summer Chinook/King, and Sockeye Salmon starts in July and ends in October. From the start of the season to the end salmon can be consistently caught. Kings will peel the line off the reel in hard and long runs. The Kings range in size from small jacks to over 40lb monsters, and the majority of the Kings weigh in the mid teens to mid twenties. We have also been able to fish for Sockeye the last couple of years. Sockeye season is not pre-set annually, but the season is opened based on numbers of returning fish. The Sockeye returns the last few years have been huge, and we have been fortunate with a large limit size. We have heard people say Sockeye are the best eating salmon, but we think it is hard to tell which one is better Chinook or Sockeye. We mainly troll for Salmon using bait and lures. We also will anchor up and fish bait if that is the most productive method at the time.
Steelhead,
Steelhead season is similar to the Sockeye season in that there is not a previously set opening date. The numbers of returning fish is what determines when Steelhead season opens. The season has opened in October and went until April the last few years. For two weeks in 2009 we could catch Salmon and Steelhead during the same trip. If 2010 returning run of Steelhead is even close to last year it will be another banner year. Steelhead are such a colorful fish, and it is fun to watch their colors change as the season goes along. There is also a different feeling catching or even releasing a Steelhead wondering how many trips that fish made to the ocean and back home. We have heaters both inside and outside on the boat for the winter months. We use bait, and lures for Steelhead both trolling and anchored.

Testimonials:
"Ron is a true sportsman on and off the water. Without Ron we would have less fish to catch during our summer salmon season. Last year Ron organized a bunch of salmon fishermen and promoters to go down to the North of Falcon meeting in the Tri Cities due to the fact that he noticed that our limits for kings was being proposed to be drastically reduced. Thanks to Ron we have more fish to catch than we have ever had before since he gave a counter proposal to the one that was unfair. As for his guiding abilities----I'll rank him as one of the top 3 guides in the Brewster pool and Wells Dam for not only catching fish, but having the right attitude out on the water. It's really nice to have a true professional like Ron on and off the water to be associated with."

"Ron,
I wanted to thank you for taking me and my grandsons salmon fishing last week. I have fished with different guides from Alaska to Belize, and you provide as good of a trip as any of them. I really appreciated your attitude and involvement with the boys. They mention your by first name, and want to know when they can go fishing with you. The salmon we caught was delicious, and when I get back to your area of the state again I definitely will be calling. Thank you again for a great day of fishing."
